The numbers are on the page and your executive still has to explain them to somebody on Thursday. That's what the narrative lines are for: two sentences per section, what moved and what it means, written for a reader with eleven minutes who has never seen the underlying report. Give the AI the reader, what they already know, what they'll ask, what they'll repeat out loud, and the lines come out usable. Every sentence stays inside the numbers you pasted. A trend line describes, it doesn't forecast. "If this keeps up" is a sentence you write, not one the AI writes for you.
Write the narrative lines for my executive, who reads this in eleven minutes and repeats parts of it out loud Thursday. Two sentences per section: what moved, what it means. The reader already knows [context] and will ask [likely question]. Every claim traces to the figures below. No forecasts, no "if this continues," no recommendations unless I asked. Under 40 words per section. [figures + reader context]
2 · Your turn. You write the prompt
Your dashboard shows missed visits up 9, denials up 5, and staffing flat. Your executive has a board call Thursday and will read your two-sentence lines out loud. Write a prompt that produces lines that survive being quoted.
