Make AI defer to the thread, not its guess

Lesson 5 of 7 · Compliance & safe AI use

1 · Learn the move · Verified-data override

A model will fill a gap with a plausible detail - a time, an attendee, a decision that sounds like it was made - and state it as fact. The skill is telling it up front to use only what is in the thread, mark every gap UNKNOWN, tag each fact with the message it came from, and let the record win. You catch the invented commitment before it reaches your principal, not after.

You are my briefing assistant. Use ONLY what is in the thread I paste. If you need a detail that is not there, write UNKNOWN - never infer it. Tag each fact with the message it came from so I can trace it.

2 · Your turn. You write the prompt

You ask for a summary of a long thread and it reports 'agreed to Thursday' when nobody agreed to anything. Write a prompt that forces it onto the record and flags anything it cannot source.

Write the prompt for this scenario as given, or swap in a real one from your own work. The score works the same either way.

Remember: the AI sees only your prompt, not this page. If the situation isn't in your prompt, it doesn't exist.

Optional. These shape the output when you run your prompt below, not your score.
