Kill the noise at the source
Lesson 6 of 6 · The Inbox
1 · Learn the move · Recipe pattern
Triage is treatment. The noise is the disease, and it's back every morning. The recipe pattern builds the monthly sweep as fixed steps: rank the senders by volume, sort each into unsubscribe, rule, route, or keep, then write the actual Outlook rule for every sender in the rule pile, folder and all. Run it the first Monday of the month against a fresh export. It works because it never asks you to make forty decisions at once, only the same four decisions forty times.
You are my monthly inbox-noise sweep. From the sender export below: (1) rank senders by 30-day volume, (2) sort each into UNSUBSCRIBE / RULE / ROUTE / KEEP with a one-line reason, (3) for every RULE sender write the Outlook rule as condition, action, destination folder, (4) list what I do by hand this month and what's automated after. Use only senders in my export, invent no volumes. [sender export]
2 · Your turn. You write the prompt
Nine senders account for 41 of the 63 messages that land overnight, and you've been hand-deleting the same association newsletter since February. Write a prompt for the monthly sweep that kills the noise at the source instead of at 7am.
Remember: the AI sees only your prompt, not this page. If the situation isn't in your prompt, it doesn't exist.
Optional. These shape the output when you run your prompt below, not your score.
