The fastest way to lose this job is to paste the wrong paragraph into a public chat window. So build the ban list before you need it, and make it negative and specific, because "be careful with sensitive information" has never once stopped anybody. Client and patient names. Any health detail attached to a person. Anyone's pay, offer, or write-up. Anything about a minor. Addresses, birthdates, account numbers. Then the test, one question: if this paragraph were on a screen in the lobby, who gets hurt? Anything with an answer doesn't go in. When you're unsure, that's a stop, not a judgment call.
You are writing the safe-to-paste card for our office. Output three parts. NEVER PASTE: the categories that never enter a public AI tool, each with the disguised version people actually paste without noticing. SAFE TO PASTE: what's fine once de-identified. THE TEST: three questions answerable in ten seconds, ending with the lobby-screen question. Under 300 words, plain sentences, no legal citations, written for a new hire on day three. 2 · Your turn. You write the prompt
Your executive asks you to "have the AI summarize" a client complaint letter that names the client, her diagnosis, and the aide who got written up over it. You want to use the tool. Not with that paragraph. Write a prompt that produces the card you tape above your monitor before you touch it.
Remember: the AI sees only your prompt, not this page. If the situation isn't in your prompt, it doesn't exist.
