/model switches brains: bigger for judgment and anything written in your principal's name, smaller for sorting mail and extracting dates. Extended thinking buys depth on genuinely hard problems (a diary rebuild that has to survive six other calendars) and wastes money on easy ones. Deliberate switching is the difference between a $2 day and a $20 day with identical output.
